Train the Trainers Workshop for Coral Reef Awareness and Marine Recreation Across the Region

The Ministry of Tourism and Diaspora Relations (MTDR) in collaboration with the Coral Reef Alliance (CORAL), the Mesoamerican Reef Cruise Destinations Network (MAR Network), and the Belize Tourism Industry Association (BTIA), held the first session of the Train the Trainers Workshop for Coral Reef Awareness and Marine Recreation Across the Region on November 2, 2021. This information will further strengthen institutional, businesses, and personal capacities and will improve tourism and marine recreation standards. Participants include tourism trainers, dive instructors, tour operators, tour guides and tourism associations and NGOs.

This first workshop wraps up on Friday November 5, 2021. It will be repeated once more in the second half of November 2021 for stakeholders in the rest of the country.
