Working as general manager for Intranet Systems provided me with important highlights in my career and has allowed me to lead various entrepreneurial endeavors. For example, I successfully negotiated and set up strategic partnerships and affiliations with technology and software leaders such as Massy Technologies InfoCom (Jamaica) Ltd., Microsoft, McAfee, WatchGuard, and other vendors. Also, I promoted professional development offering employees with opportunities to grow with formal training and counselling. Some of the projects I managed included the development and maintenance of customer’s web presence and social media campaigns, design and promotion of screen-printed products, organization and execution of photoshoots, installation of financial service equipment. Successful installation and deployment of these financial service equipment and other projects involved careful planning and coordination. I initially joined Vega’s Distributors Limited as a Logistics and Operations Manager / IT (Information Technology) Manager. Managing vendor and supplier relations, I worked closely and scheduled meetings with suppliers to ensure proper stock levels were kept. Analyzed scheduled and ad-hoc statistical data to supply reports on functional areas such as sales, inventory, and finance. Other duties included having regular meetings with executives in planning short and long-term organizational goals and strategies, customer relations management, and meeting with customers as required. Part of my duties also included taking part in recruitment and staffing exercises. Also, I analyzed business processes and recommended procedures to ensure further efficiency in the processes and reducing costs by using supplier agreements. The primary focus of my appointment as IT Manager is to analyze and give statistical reports from data captured in the customized Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software. This includes the design and deployment of sales analysis dashboards for all stakeholders including management, sales employees, customers, and vendors.
