The Government of Belize has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) under the “Sustainable Tourism Program II” (STPII), and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments for the consulting services for Feasibility, Social and Environmental Assessment, Architectural Design, and Operational Management Options for the Cultural Heritage Bayside Plaza, for an urban revitalization project in Corozal Town, Corozal District. Specific focus is on the waterfront zone, including the main municipal pier and the House of Culture with proposed pedestrian linkage to Central Park and Fort Barlee in that municipality.
