In 2017, the Ministry undertook a physical and operational transformation that led to the achievement of certification under the ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Standard) in July of 2019. This milestone established the Ministry of Tourism as the first government ministry in Belize to attain this certification, underscoring its dedication to customer service, risk management, and fostering a results-oriented work environment.
