Purpose

The purpose of the Fiscal Incentives Program is to encourage investment in Belize by easing the cost of startup for new companies through duty exemption for the first years of operation.

Requirements

  • Formal letter to the Executive Director of Beltraide

  • Copy of Articles of Association and Memorandum of Association

  • Economic Benefits, Financial Statements, Environmental Checklist, Local Banker's Reference/Statement, Phase of Development etc.

  • Excel Listing of Items requested for Duty Exemption

Process Flow

  • 1. Submit Required Documents

    Project proposal must be bounded and submitted in 4 copies to Beltraide

  • 2. Vetting Process

    Beltraide forwards completed application to the Ministry of Tourism for vetting within 7 working days.

  • 3. Support Letter Approval

    The approved application is returned to Beltraide for final approval.
