The Duty Exemption Program aims to assist companies within the tourism industry by reducing the expenses associated with improving the services that they offer. The program allows tour operators, tour guides and hotels to receive duty and tax exemption on vehicles and other items.

Accommodation/Tour Operator License
Business Registration Certificate
Pro Forma Invoice
Proof of Tax Receipt
Process Flow
1. Submit Required Documents
Quality Assurance & Industry Standards Department, Belize Tourism Board
2. Vetting Process
Belize Tourism Board forwards completed application to the Ministry of Tourism for vetting within 10 working days.
3. Support Letter Approval
The approved application is forwarded to the Ministry of Finance for final approval.
