Department of Youth Services
The Department of Youth Services (DYS) is the Government of Belize’s lead agency for youth development and empowerment. It is dedicated to fostering the personal, social, and economic growth of young Belizeans through education, mentorship, skills training, and wellness programs.
Through national initiatives and partnerships, DYS promotes youth leadership, entrepreneurship, and active participation in nation-building. The Department remains committed to creating opportunities that enable young people to reach their full potential and contribute meaningfully to Belize’s sustainable development.
Mission
Enable Belizean Youth so that they have multiple opportunities to acquire education, training, life skills development, and to succeed in jobs, careers, self-sufficiency, and adulthood.
Vision
Empowerment of young people ages 14-29 years so that they can reach their full potential through education, mentorship, and innovative intervention programs designed to enhance their total well-being.
